The Club Licensing Program

The Club Licensing Program is a Canada Soccer initiative
supported by Soccer Quebec that was designed to guide soccer
clubs across the country towards the best principles of
organizational development on and off the field.

The main objectives of the Canada Soccer Club Licensing Program are:

  • Set clearly defined standards and expectations for member organizations;
  • Recognize excellence in the soccer community;
  • Raising the bar for all soccer organizations across Canada; and,
  • Bring change in the soccer system.

By enhancing the organizational quality of our soccer clubs, together we will create playing environments that are more conducive to the development of our players' full potential. Ultimately, we hope that the Club Recognition Program will serve as a driving force for the development of players called up to the national team and players destined for a professional career.

Club Development Center (CDC)

One of the most important criteria of the Club Licensing
Program is to operate a Club Development Center (CDC) for the U4 to U12 categories. The tansition to Club Development Centers for these categories is a major philosophy shift for clubs, players and parents.
